he 1987 Mazda RX7 Turbo II is one of Mazda’s greatest achievements. Ok, that may be a little biased. Even so, the FC chassis one of Mazda’s most popular productions, especially in the performance realm. From time attack to drifting the FC has the ability to conquer in every discipline.
I bought this 1987 Mazda RX7 Turbo II from a guy in the Bay Area of California. When I bought it I was told the turbocharged 13b inside just needed to be unflooded. He wasn't lying, it did. Further inspection though revealed that this poor little 13b was running terrible and leaking oil pretty bad. Not knowing the first thing about rotaries I did the only thing I did know how to do, I pulled the engine.
I picked up a swap kit from Tech 2 Motorsports. The car definitely needs its fair share of love to get where I want it to be, all in due time. While I wait to pick up a 1JZ-GTE engine from a local importer, ill iron out some of the other details.
